Armadillo is the first brand to be accredited under the Carpet Institute of Australia’s globally-recognized commercial grading system for rugs. Previously, international certifications for contract use only existed for other types of floor coverings. The Carpet Institute of Australia has now introduced a scheme for rugs.
Armadillo is in the process of securing accreditation for additional rugs. In leading the industry to qualify for a commercial grading label, Armadillo continues its unparalleled commitment to producing rugs that exceed industry benchmarks for quality, performance and safety.
Tested by independent laboratories and assessment by a panel of experts, the qualification guarantees each rug’s performance with respect to:
· direct soiling,
· yarn withdrawal,
· color fastness to rubbing,
· cold water staining,
· extractable matter,
· color fastness to light and shampooing,
· secondary backing adhesion,
· insect resistance,
· fiber content,
· pile mass,
· changes in surface texture and color,
· burning behavior, and
· indoor air quality (100% free of VOCs).
