Custom Color

Since its inception in 2009, Armadillo has remained true to its mission as a purpose-led business, dedicated to making a difference not only in the sanctuary of the home but in the world around us.

Our Story

In the design world, luxury is often the ultimate aspiration. To us, true luxury is leaving the world better than we found it. We call this philosophy, and our purpose, ‘Luxury For Good’.

Playlist

The Armadillo Playlist Vol. 22 | Frequency

Luxuriate in a soundscape of binaural beats and tranquil tempos designed to ground the senses. With a blend of classical and electronic improvisations punctuated by ethereal vocals, these meditative melodies make the perfect backdrop to unwind from the chaos of the outer world.

Place

Atlantic Avenue by Bureau Tempo

Montreal-based design studio Bureau Tempo creates spaces that blend modern sensibilities with a deep appreciation for character. For this gentle update of a 120-year-old industrial loft in Brooklyn Heights, founder Adam Robinson focused on elegant functionality and effortless versatility, amplifying the ambience of the 1,600-square-foot home with calm-inducing materials and finishes. Place

The Pop-Up Gallery by Studio Trovato

Conceived by Erin Hupp and Jaime Lovejoy, the annual Pop-Up Gallery showcases the works of women artists from across the Bay Area in unused retail spaces. The unique format gives visitors and collectors the rare opportunity to connect directly with exhibiting painters, sculptors and ceramicists. Late last year, designers Erin Hiemstra and Jeanne Chan of Studio Trovato were invited to style the old Mill Mercantile space in San Francisco’s Noe Valley for the fourth anniversary show, entitled “Interwoven”, which explored the theme of interconnection. Introducing Armadillo San Francisco

San Franscisco
San Francisco

We’re excited to announce the opening of our first showroom and retail space in San Francisco. Located at 3695 Sacramento Street in the heart of Presidio Heights, the showroom is at home amongst the neighborhood’s design-led mix of architecture firms, interior design studios, art galleries, and homewares showrooms.

San Francisco

Our San Francisco space was imagined as a design-destination for both our trade and retail clients across the Bay Area, open Monday to Saturday with no appointment necessary. The showroom takes cues from the retail experience of a bespoke tailor; incorporating rails of garment sized samples that allow clients to experience the quality, composition, and depth of our collection in a simple and more elegant way.

The San Francisco showroom marks our third US physical incarnation of the brand and precedes a new Melbourne site due to open later this year. With each new showroom it’s important that there’s an innate sense of connection and a kinship with existing Armadillo spaces, achieved through a common materiality and a shared design language.

Ultimately, we want our clients to feel at home in every one of our spaces.
