Operations Manager - Los Angeles, CA
The Operations Manager leads and motivates the sales operations team to deliver seamless order support. While implementing efficient processes and workflows, they are responsible for the performance of the team who is shipping orders out of the warehouse until delivery to the client. This role is central to revenue recognition, sales support, inventory management, and coordinating operations between the warehouse, freight carriers, and sales managers.
You will also play a key role in evaluating and shaping our future warehousing strategy, including assessing domestic and international warehouse options to support growth, cost efficiency, and customer experience.
This role requires balancing day-to-day workload with higher-level department projects and initiatives while navigating competing demands. A passion for learning, innovation, and leadership is key, as well as a results-driven approach to implementing best practices that empower your team and internal partners to excel. You are deadline and results-driven, passionate about leading others and implementing best practices that help your internal partners and team do their best work. This is a full-time, salary exempt role.
About You
Key Capabilities and Behaviors Required:
- Experience managing on-site and remote teams.
- Experience with FedEx Ship Manager software, ERP, WMS and other systems (NetSuite is a plus).
- Experience with exporting goods and international documentation compliance.
- Experience working with 3PL Warehouse. Will act as the liaison.
- Great time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Enthusiastic and hands on - keen to get in there and get your hands dirty.
- Frequently use initiative to think of new ways to approach projects/tasks and anticipate future work pipeline.
- Analytical, organized and data-driven decision-making.
- Uphold and implement best practices in workflows, communication, and service.

- Ability to be in the LA Showroom (West Hollywood, CA) and travel to our warehouse (Carson, CA).
- Ability to work flexibly across national and international time zones.
- Ability to lift 50lbs with support – may require lifting of rug samples and full-size rugs, with support.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Team Management
- Provide direction, support, and feedback to the sales operations and logistics team through effective and positive leadership.
- Support day to day workload on a contingency basis when team members are on leave or out of office.
- Develop and maintain process documents and department manuals and process improvements.
- Shape the roadmap for order management, driving automation, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Act as the liaison between Armadillo and 3PL Warehouse, freight vendors, and internal local and global departments.
- Adhere to any special shipping requirements or guidelines to our wholesale partners and/or customers.
- Define and continuously improve sample fulfillment processes that scales with volume.
- Implement inventory control strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize carrying costs.
- Create and manage style offboarding phases.
- Proactively look for efficiencies and make data driven decisions.
- Evaluate and analyze current and future warehouse and 3PL network requirements, including domestic and international options.
- Support logistics strategy and execution for new and emerging markets, ensuring scalable, cost-effective, and customer-focused solutions.
Project Management
- Research new subject matter to the company and present data in a compelling manner.
- Consolidate information and present discoveries, as a first phase to a new initiative.
- Create road maps for projects by understanding the end goal or intention and relevant stakeholders.
- Research new international warehouse facilities.
- Explore ways to quantify international duties and taxes to the customer transaction at point of sale.
- Begin research and pricing comparison for domestic 3PL partnerships.
- Explore new LTL freight partnerships and help negotiate and standardize pricing for high volume territories.
- Collaborate closely with Global Operations, Sales, and Marketing departments on cross-departmental projects.
