The Armadillo x House of Grey collaboration is brought to life with Rhythm of Nature, an immersive campaign inspired by our shared philosophy of designing spaces that nurture a gentler pace of life.

A continuous journey through multiple terrains invites us to slow down and surrender, whilst mirroring the five rugs in the collection – Etoile, Terra, Palus, Umbra and Perilune.

The sensory installations elevate each rug to a work of art, while encouraging quiet exploration and reflective introspection through raw, organic elements – soft slopes of sand, mounds of grass and soil, feathery florals suspended from the ceiling, an unbridled field of grasses and a luminous pool of water.

A cinematic film, shot by award-winning Australian director Glendyn Ivin, captures the moving landscape and tactile presence of the collection in such a way that we feel as if we are experiencing it firsthand.

Accompanied by a soothing soundtrack, the experience is intended to steady the beat of day-to-day life and impart us with a sense of calm as we return to the outside world.

We spoke to Hana and Sandy about their collaborative process, design philosophies and some of their favorite parts of this unique project.

Inside Blade House by Tecture

Melbourne-based architecture practice Tecture thrive on creativity; working across a diverse range of projects each with its own unique identity. We caught up with the Tecture team to learn more about one project in particular that captured our imaginations. Blade House is a testament to the beauty and strength of concrete construction and a study in the relationship between built and natural environments. Throughout the project, textural elements – including Armadillo rugs – were incorporated to conjure warmth and character, with exceptional results. We caught up with the team at Tecture to learn more about their vision for and execution of this ambitious build.
